A West Virginia attorney is going to prison after he was convicted of manslaughter.
Friday morning, a judge upheld the jury's recommendation and sentenced Lafe Ward to ten years in prison. Ward was accused of causing a car accident last year that killed Benita Dixon. He was on trial for murder last month, but the jury convicted him of manslaughter, a lesser charge. Ward's family pleaded for a lesser sentence, saying he's a good family man, but the judge said the punishment was justified.
