Troops Serving Overseas Will Participate In Runoff Election

Kentucky's troops serving overseas will be able to participate if the state has to have a primary runoff election for gubernatorial candidates.

The State Board of Elections has ruled that soldiers can use federal absentee ballots commonly used by overseas citizens. A primary runoff election will happen if no candidate receives more than 40 percent of their party's vote.

The extra election would take place June 26th.
