Lawmaker Trying To Freeze Tuition Rates

An Eastern Kentucky lawmaker is trying to freeze tuition rates at Kentucky's public colleges and universities.

Representative Rick Nelson has pre-filed legislation that would freeze current rates for the next two years and tie future increases to the rise in the consumer price index.

Nelson says the goal is for more Kentucky families to afford a brighter future.
