BENHAM – Six additional individuals wanted on drug-related indictment warrants have been arrested in Harlan County.
Those arrested were among 52 individuals sought by Operation UNITE following a year-long undercover investigation into the illegal sale of prescription drugs in the Tri-Cities area.
Law enforcement officers representing eight agencies spread out to serve the warrants Monday, June 6. As of noon Tuesday a total of 36 suspects had been located.
Participating with UNITE detectives in the roundup were officers from the Kentucky State Police, Harlan County Sheriff’s Office, Harlan Police Department, Benham Police Department, Cumberland Police Department, Lynch Police Department and Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement.
The six new arrests since Monday afternoon were:
• Mary Sue Blair, 41, Cloverlick Apartments, Cumberland, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
• Charles Brown, 41, Parker Street, Cumberland, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance and second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
• Lisa Browning, 49, Cumberland, second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
• Randy Allen Hall, 39, Rasnick Street, Cumberland, two counts second-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
• Christy Richardson, 37, Cumberland, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
• Bryan Sprader, 31, Cumberland, first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-degree wanton endangerment and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police continue to search for the remaining suspects.
