The former executive director of an organization credited with bringing thousands of jobs to the region has died.
Tom Jones headed the East Kentucky corporation for many years.
It closed in 2005 due to lack of funding.
During its fourteen years in operation, the corporation brought 27 businesses and more than four thousand jobs to the region.
Jones died last week in maryland... after he was diagnosed with cancer following lung transplant surgery.
His funeral will be held thursday in Maryland.
Tom Jones was 57 years old.
