Students and staff at one local college got out of the classroom Saturday and got their hands dirty.
They were hammering for a good cause as several students and faculty members with the Big Sandy Community and Technical College pitched in to help build a Habitat for Humanity home for Sue Ann Branham and her two children. Branham says it still amazes her that complete strangers have donated their time and money for her family.
"It's wonderful to come out. I'd do this every Saturday if they offered it every Saturday or any other day of the week I would," said volunteer Ami Morichelli.
"It's really changed my life, given me something to look forward to, my boys be proud of, and I just want to thank everybody," Branham said.
Branham says she and her boys hope to move in to their new home in June.
