When their church was beginning to fall down around them, one Eastern Kentucky group turned to North Carolina for some divine intervention.
Members of Jacks Creek Baptist Church say they had to be careful they didn't get too excited at church, for fear of the floor caving in. But now, after receiving donations from several North Carolina businesses and churches, they have a brand new church that was built by a group of North Carolina volunteers.
"It's just a blessing every time we come out here. We've just got such a loving, wonderful relationship," said Don Tone who helped build the new church.
"It's hard to explain whenever something like this happens to you. It's just something that has to be sent by God," said Pastor Roger Trusy.
Church members and friends held a dedication ceremony Saturday. They've been using the new church since December.
