Thirty-four-year-old Mariano Garcia Aquilar, also known as Aquilar Mariana Garcia or his third alias, Jose Geurra, could be on the run from police. Police believe he is a killer and no one should mess with him.
“He was armed with a handgun. He certainly committed an offense that would make him armed and dangerous. We will consider him that way,” says Pulaski County Det. Lt. Brett Whitaker.
Police say he assaulted and probably killed Irene Guitierrez in a Grundy Road trailer April 25th.
After finding Aquilar's Chrysler 400 miles away in South Carolina, they found evidence that the woman's body was dumped in the trunk.
“Our evidence shows that she was in fact shot, and after she was shot the crime scene was cleaned up,” says Whitaker.
However, where the woman's body is remains a mystery.
“So it could be anywhere between here and South Carolina,” says Whitaker.
The same goes for the whereabouts of the man police have now issued arrest warrants for.
All police have is a car and it's possible more clues could come from it.
“We've not examined every piece of evidence we got out of there. Our guys are going through that as we speak. Looking for anything that may be of benefit in this case,” says Whitaker.
Once Aguilar is found, police say he will be charged with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
