Three Dead After Airplanes Collide

SHARONVILLE, Ohio (AP) - Federal authorities say three people
are dead in the collision of two small airplanes in suburban
Cincinnati.
The Federal Aviation Administration says in a recorded message
that the accident evidently involved two planes.
The agency initially said one of the aircraft might have been a
helicopter.
Wreckage was found in the front yard of one home and across
residential neighborhoods and roads near the Cincinnati suburb of
Sharonville.
The planes' pilots were flying under visual flight rules and
were not required to file flight plans.
The F-A-A says they apparently were not in contact with air
traffic controllers.
No injuries were reported on the ground.
