Harper Lends More Money To Campaign

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Republican gubernatorial candidate Billy
Harper has lent his campaign another $325,000, according to his
latest fundraising report filed Friday with the Kentucky Registry
of Election Finance.
With financial contributions from supporters, Harper took in
$347,445 between April 20 and May 6. He spent nearly $520,000 over
the period.
Since entering the race, Harper has raised nearly $5.4 million,
primarily in loans to his campaign, and spent more than $5.1
million.
His latest report showed that he has $278,435 on hand.
Democratic gubernatorial candidate Gatewood Galbraith also filed
a fundraising report with the state agency on Friday, showing he
raised $4,360 between April 21 and May 7. He spent $2,986 over the
period, leaving him with $2,148 in the bank. Since entering the
race, he has raised $22,000 and spent $20,000.
All candidates in the race have until Tuesday to file campaign
finance reports with the state agency.
