A body is found in a Pulaski County pond off Highway 328 and police say they are looking into the possibility that it could be connected to an April murder.
Arrest warrants have been issued for 34 year old Mariano Garcia Aguilar, who also goes by several aliases. Police say he killed Irene Guitierrez last month on Grundy Road and probably dumped her body in the trunk of a car that was later found in South Carolina. Police say the body was found in a pond on a farm on Highway 328 that Aguilar has ties to in northern Pulaski County.
The warrants charge Aguilar with murder and tampering with physical evidence.
Officials say the body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office for an autopsy. The medical examiner and the Pulaski County coroner's office will be working together to identify the victim.
