Jai Lucas announced at his press conference that he will join coach Billy Donovan and the Florida Gators next season.

Heavily-recruited high school point guard Jai Lucas announced Monday that he has chosen to attend Florida over Kentucky and Oklahoma State. The 5-10, 170 pounder from Houston, Texas, was one of the last big-name recruits to commit before the May 16 signing deadline.

McDonald's All-American is the son of former N-B-A player and coach John Lucas says he picked the national champion Gators over Kentucky and Oklahoma State.

Jai Lucas says with point guard Taurean Green gone, he feels he
has a chance to play right away.

Lucas averaged 25 points and six assists as a senior at his high
school near Houston. The five-foot-ten guard also shot 51 percent
from three-point range and 83 percent from the free-throw line.
