Monday, the U.S. Postal Service rolled out new prices for shipping. It will now cost you two more pennies to mail your letters.
The price of your first class stamp is now 41 cents. The postal service is countering the price hike by offering the forever stamp. You pay the 41 cents now and you can use the stamp forever, regardless of future price increases. Small business owners say the changes will directly affect their business.
"You can't eliminate your mailings. You have to continue to do your business. It's just something you have to deal with and cut corners in other places," said small business owner Doug Crawford.
The U.S. Postal Service is also introducing pricing based on shape. The old system based pricing on the weight of a package.
