Democrats In SOS Race Include Former Mayor, Businessman, Nurse

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Democrat MaDonna White originally planned
to run for governor. Without a running mate she was forced to seek
another office.
Hours before the January filing deadline, White recruited an
onlooker in a state Capitol hallway to provide the second needed
signature on her candidacy papers to run for Secretary of State.
Her opponents in the May 22nd Democratic primary are Bruce
Hendrickson, former mayor of Pineville, and Georgetown businessman
Dick Robinson.
The three candidates discussed, during a debate last month,
whether equipping voting machines with the capability of giving
voters a paper receipt was necessary.
Hendrickson said he believes electronic voting machines are
vulnerable to manipulation.
