Fletcher Campaign Claims To Have Comfortable Lead

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Governor Fletcher insists, in his latest
television commercial, that Kentucky is better off now than four
years ago.
The ad projects a positive tone in the closing days of a
hard-hitting Republican primary.
Campaign manager Marty Ryall says the Fletcher camp has a
significant lead and is comfortable about it.
The ad also shows Fletcher boasting about investments in jobs,
education, health care and roads during his term.
The new ad replaces an attack ad in which Fletcher's campaign
accused rival Anne Northup of voting against school prayer. Former
U-S Representative Northup responded that she had voted multiple
times in favor of school prayer.
