Former Trooper Rodger Cooper pleads guilty in federal court to stealing federal funds from the Kentucky State Police.

In the plea agreement, Cooper admits he made nearly $23,000 in cash withdrawals for his own use between 2005 and 2006. Cooper took the money from a federal account set up for criminal cases for things like undercover drug buys. It happened while he was a Trooper First Class for the Drug Enforcement Special Investigations Unit.

Cooper faces up to ten years in prison and repayment of the stolen money to KSP. He'll be sentenced August 17th.
