For drivers across the region this weekend, the color orange can bring fear but state highway officials are saying those orange signs and red lights are actually there to help drivers out.
Also keep in mind that Kentucky Vehicle Enforcement and state police will be out doing extra patrols this weekend, too.
"Use caution through this area this weekend. It's going to be a busy weekend for travel. Make sure you buckle up and use child restraints if you need them," said KVE Officer Gregory Reams.
State transportation officials say the best way to be safe on the road this weekend is pay attention to signs, drive safe, and buckle up.
