With temperatures in the 80's, it was a perfect day to jump in the pool and that's exactly what kids got to do for the first time today in Perry County.
The new Perry County Pool opened Friday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and free hot dogs. The pool features four new slides, a fountain umbrella and a sun deck.
Private parties can be booked at the new pool.
Judge Executive Denny Ray Noble says a $200,000 skateboard park is next on the list of new things for the county. Noble says construction will start soon, just down from the pool.
