School System Wants New Auditing Firm

Johnson county school board members are deciding if they want to keep the same auditing firm.

At the last school board meeting, some members said they were unhappy with Wells and Company. That firm's last audit uncovered pay checks to the former finance director's son who was in jail. The finance director, Peggy Vanhoose, and her assistant, were later indicted on theft charges. Johnson county school officials say there has been no decision yet on whether to keep Wells and Company as auditors.
