Rhonda Justice has three other children...those children were taken away from her and put in social services custody the day four year old Josh drowned. Today, Justice's daughter got to see her mother, but it was from the witness stand in the courtroom.

The 14 year old was the first witness the defense called.
Prosecutors say Justice is responsible for the boy's death because he required 24 hour supervision and claim she was passed out in her home when neighbors found him dead.
Justice's 14 year old daughter testified she didn't think her mother was at fault.
Cameras were not allowed in the courtroom while she was on the stand, but the girl explained they stayed up past midnight the night before the drowning and says she thought the outside door josh went out of was locked when they went to bed.

"It was a tragic accident," says Justice's Attorney. "Accidents happen all the time. As tragic as it was, we don't think there was any criminal conduct."

This was just the first day the defense presented their case.
