Fire officials put out a fire early Sunday morning after it partially shut down a Magoffin County road.
Firefighters from the District Three Volunteer Fire Department were called on the scene of an old railroad trestle. They say this is the second time in one week that someone has set fire to the trestle. You could actually see the remains of a mattress on top of the old tracks which officials say is the source of the fire.
"If we can't take it down, then we'll have to shut the road. It's not an easy good access for two way traffic," said Steve Gunnell with the Department of Highways.
Officials say traffic is being detoured around the damage trestle because they fear it will fall.
