Wintry weather overnight made for some dangerous driving conditions in many areas.
Many folks are ready for some nicer weather to move in.
Road crews say around midnight Monday night and very early Tuesday morning, they were out battling mainly ice on the roads from the freezing drizzle.
It turned in to snow as we saw and kept falling throughout most of the day.
The slushy and icy mixture made for hazardous roads.
Many people throughout the mountains woke up to find their cars covered in snow and ice.
The drizzle and freezing temperatures made roads dangerous and kept highway maintenance crews busy.
Not too many people ventured out in the snowy mess and folks are ready for a change.
"I think everybody's ready for a break and ready for spring. If the forecasters hit this thing right it should get in the forties Wednesday that should clear up most of the roads." Hazard resident Doug Campbell said.
Most of the main roads are clear now. Crews say they are focusing on some secondary and side roads.
