A man is dead after officials say he was not able to escape a fire at his home in London.
The fire broke out around 4:30 Wednesday afternoon at a home on Falls Street.
Police say the victim, Henry Walden, lived there with his son. Officials say the son tried to get Walden out of the house, but wasn't able to.
Walden was well known in Laurel County. He served for 20 years in the county clerk's office and he also operated a car dealership.
Investigators are still trying to figure out what caused the fire.
