Rescuers Scale Back Search For Man Missing A Month In Eastern Ky.

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) - An eastern Kentucky man has been missing for nearly a month after driving to a mountain in the far
southeastern corner of the state.
Twenty-seven-year-old Travis Wilson of Middlesboro was last seen
on Fonde Mountain, in Bell County near the Kentucky-Tennessee state
Rescuers have scaled back their search in recent days after
failing to find Wilson. Bell County Emergency Management spokesman
Jerry Raines says someone riding an A-T-V found Wilson's Toyota
Camry with a flat tire on June 16th, but subsequent efforts to find
him were unsuccessful.
The car was found with a flat tire at the end of a little-used
rough hiking trail.
Wilson is six feet, two inches tall and weights 230 pounds. He
has dirty blonde hair and clear blue eyes. He was last seen wearing
a short sleeve work shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes. Wilson
suffers from a bipolar disorder and likely has not had medication
since he went missing.
