Pulaski County VFW commander charged in stabbing case

A Pulaski County VFW commander is charged in connection with a stabbing on New Year's Eve.

The Commonwealth Journal reports 40 year old Robert Thornton is accused of stabbing 42 year old James Carrender of Somerset and 24 year old Joshua Neal of Monticello in the parking lot of the VFW shortly before midnight on December 31st.

Carrender and Neal were taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Thornton is being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center on a 25 thousand dollar bond.
