Man charged in Pulaski County murder case tied to two cold cases

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Department says a recent murder has helped solved two cold cases.

Police have now charged Michael Abner of Somerset with two unsolved murders from the 1980s.

Abner was arrested Tuesday after the murder of his neighbor 79 year old Jack Roerink.

The sheriff says abner has now confessed to a murder in 1983 and another murder in 1988, both involved elderly women.

We have a crew in Pulaski County and will have more tonight at 11.
