Bell County Volunteer Firefighters argued in federal court Monday that the county judge had no right to take control of their department.
During a hearing in U.S. Federal Court in London, the Bell County Judge defended his move last week to take over the department.
He's questioning spending practices of the Bell County Volunteer Firefighters.
A federal judge has granted a temporary restraining order so the firefighters are back in control of their department.
Both sides now have to wait for the federal judge to make a decision.
