Officials with the Kentucky Highlands Investment Corporation held a groundbreaking ceremony Friday afternoon in London for it's business innovation and growth center.
The center will have about ten thousand square feet for office, laboratory and production development space.
Officials say this will create about 120 jobs and should assist nearly 20 businesses.
Leaders say they are excited to help the region's economy.
"Small businesses are the fuel to America's economy and small businesses represent 50 percent of all jobs so we know it is very important to our economy in Southeast Kentucky." Jim Carroll from Kentucky Highlands said.
The center should open in August.
