Brent Cantrell told a Johnson County judge his attorney didn't properly represent him and wanted his conviction and 50 year sentence overturned. He asked for a new trial with a new lawyer, but the judge disagreed. He felt Cantrell's attorney was appropriate and the 50 year sentence justified.
