Lake Owen, 8, throws a snowball at his older brother as they play in the snow at their Lee County home.
Despite the wintry weather, many are still out and about.
The snow is still falling and some folks say they have had enough.
The winter weather and cold temperatures are still causing problems for people across the region.
Many are becoming frustrated.
The people we talked today say they are sick of getting out on to slick roads and having to go out to buy essentials in the event of getting snowed in.
They say they want the snow and the cold to end.
Believe it or not, the snow is not keeping people from getting out. One person we talked to says the snow is a terrible inconvenience for everyone.
“Especially where I live,” Priscilla Padron says. “Its pure ice over there and nobody can get in or out so a lot of people have to miss work because of it.”
And the temperatures combined with the cold wind makes it unbearable.
“It's very cold,” Padron says. “I mean just standing here I’m pretty much freezing.”
“It's cold then it's warm then it's freezing and more freezing,” Jordon Nichols says. “We just getting worse and worse.”
Alex Smith got to stay home from school. He got out to get food for his pets.
“We got to keep them in the garage with the kerosene heaters and try to keep them warm,” Smith says.
Smith says he has not seen this much snow in recent years.
“No not in a long time,” Smith says. “I'm happy it's came though.”
Nichols is a snowboarder. He would like to see the snow stop falling.
“There's too much of it,” Nichols says. “And not enough of it at the same time. Good for boarding, bad for driving.”
And many say the worst part is, there is more snow on the way.
With the temperature falling out here, there is still the possibility of the roads freezing over with ice tonight so you will want to be extra careful in case you have to get out in this.
The snow keeps coming and people are still braving the winter weather to get items in the event they get snowed in.
Some people we talked to say this winter has become very frustrating.
The snow does not want to stop. People are still getting out in the mess, grabbing groceries and supplies just in case people get snowed in.
With more snow on the way, people are frustrated with the white stuff.
“This cold weather got me sick,” Priscilla Padron says. “I had to call in to work today, I feel like crud. I'm on my way to the doctor's office. A lot of people have had to call in and when that happens, it puts us in a rut. It really does.”
And other people we talked to wants the snow and the cold to end.
