Kentucky Blood Center workers are trying to replenish the state's supply after the snow cancelled many blood drives.
Officials say the supply was running low and winter is a time they need the most blood.
Workers collected dozens of donations in both Floyd and Pike Counties Thursday.
“Any drive that we have in winter time, it's very important that we can go to those drives to collect those units that we have to keep our supply up to keep us from having an appeal, to keep us having a really good adequate supply on hand that we need,” Jeremy Collins said.
Each person who donates can help save three lives.
If you want to donate, contact your nearest Kentucky Blood Center office.
