Pike County purchases three mass casualty incident response trailers through a grant from the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security.
The county received more than 60 thousand dollars through the department for the trailers.
Officials say with the trailer, they can save many lives by treating people at the scene in the event of incidents such as bus crashes and mine accidents.
One will be stationed in Pikeville, the others in Kimper and Belfry.
