Cooperative Christian Ministry or CCM leaders in Middlesboro helped seniors sign up for the free Commodity Supplemental Food Program.

Officials are expanding their food pantry services to help the elderly.
Eligible seniors get one, 30 pound box of food every month.

Officials say they are happy to help so many people.

"We've been overwhelmed today. Our lobby is not very large and it has been overflowing. To me that shows what a need there is for seniors," said Pat Stanley with CCM.

If you would like to contact CCM leaders to see if you qualify for the program, just check out the Ashley's Extras blog.
