Man Accused Of Killing An Eastern Ky. Police Officer Appears In Court

Angry words were exchanged in court Wednesday after a man accused of killing an Eastern Kentucky police officer faces a judge.

James Barnett was in court Wednesday morning. He's facing one count of capitol murder in the case. The defense said Barnett should not be tried in Powell County and they think Barnett should have a mental evaluation before the trial.

Barnett will be back in court on August 23rd for a motion hearing.
