A woman is recovering after a boating accident at an Eastern Kentucky state park.
It happened about nine o'clock Saturday night. Campers in the park heard sirens, but many of them still don't know what happened.
"We just heard sirens first, then helicopters. We just never put the two together," said Camper John Weihmiller.
"There was a boat accident. A lady had a fracture to her leg, that's about all we know". said Burnside Fire Chief Eric Henderson.
The woman was picked up by ambulance and brought to this parking lot where a helicopter was waiting to fly her to U.K. Medical Center.
"EMS responded to the marina, done all the patient care, all we did was land the chopper and load the patient," Henderson said.
Officials have not released the woman's name, but this man says she may have been a neighboring camper.
So far officials unsure of how the woman ended up in the water or what the injuries are.
