State highway officials say they now have the route for Interstate 66 in parts of southern Kentucky.
The recommended route in Pulaski and Laurel counties follows most of existing Highway 80, then shoots southeast and will intersect with I-75 south of London. The highway has been in the planning stages for six years, and some people have worried about the road affecting their property.
"Well I won't be particularly glad," says Kenny BeShears of Pulaski County. "I've got mixed feelings but I know it's needed to get a good east-west route across the United States."
