As we wind down the summer, the need for blood still continues to rise.
Over the summer months due to vacations and families not yet in their regular schedules, donation centers do not receive the same amount of blood they do throughout the rest of the year, but you can help.
Pineville is hosting a community blood drive Monday from 10am to 6pm at the Pineville Community Hospital. To donate you must be 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds, and have a positive form of identification.
One donation can save up to three lives.
