Dozens frustrated with the government raliled in front of the Laurel County Courthouse Saturday afternoon.

Republican US Senate candidate Rand Paul also made an appearance. Supporters say the nation is too far in debt to keep taxing its people.

"I as a grandmother believe my children have the same privileges and opportunities that I had. If they tax us to death there's not going to be that opportunity," Beverly Wentzel said.

Several counter-protesters expressed their views at the rally as well, but it was a peaceful demonstration.
