Woman recovering after Georgetown stabbing

A woman is recovering from stab wounds after a violent home invasion.

It happened Friday evening, on West Washington Street, in Georgetown.

Police say a man knocked on the victim's door and when she answered he hit her in the face.

The two struggled, then the suspect stabbed her.

She was taken to Georgetown Community Hospital where she was treated and released.

Police are still looking for the man who attacked her.
