Police in Laurel County arrest a man from Indiana who authorities in that state want to question about the brutal murders of three people found in a Kokomo, Indiana home Friday morning.
Neighbors say the three were stabbed
The bodies of 62-year-old David McPike, 57-year-old Rebecca Berg, and 28-year-old Jessica Berg were found in this home in Kokomo, Indiana.
Now police want to question this man, 30-year-old Jeremy Blanchard. State Police found Blanchard in London.
“During the investigation it was determined that he was heading south on 75 and possibly had already gone south of Lexington,” Trooper Ryan Laudermilk says.
When state police caught up with Blanchard here in London, he took exit 38 of I-75 south, and that's where they say he was arrested without incident.
“He was charged here in Kentucky for probation violation and he will be extradited back to Indiana,” Laudermilk says.
A Neighbor says one of the victims lived in that home for quite some time.
“Super nice guy,” Lee Newcome says. “Something you wouldn't expect to happen to him. I mean no enemies that I was aware of. Definitely the kind of neighbor you want to have.”
Laudermilk says the KSP is cooperating with the Indiana Authorities
“We cooperate with any law enforcement agency we're all on the same team,” Laudermilk says. “This suspect is wanted in for questioning in the homicide in Indiana and the probation violation is what he's charged with here and we certainly cooperate 100 percent with them.”
Blanchard is waiting to be extradited back to Indiana.
Blanchard is being held at the Laurel County Detention Center.
