Police Continue To Investigate Deadly Accident Involving Train

A train accident Thursday that killed a delivery driver in Pulaski County remains under investigation.

Shawn Paul Denney was delivering appliances to Eubank when police say his truck was hit by a train. The crossing has no lights or cross bars and the man Denney was looking for to deliver a washer and dryer to describes the crossing as very dangerous.

"It's a long stretch of tracks. It's straight and the heat that rises from them, I myself have crossed those tracks and I looked up to see a train coming at me less than 100 yards away," Ben Golden said.

The Pulaski County coroner says he believes Denney could have been distracted by unfamiliar territory or that he didn't hear the train coming.
