Former Clay County School employee Paul Bishop was sentenced to three years in prison.

The Herald Leader reports Bishop had admitted to taking part in widespread vote fraud in Clay County between 2002 and 2007.

He was the only one of the nine indicted in the vote buying conspiracy to plead guilty.

Bishop told prosecutors he allowed former Clay County School Superintendent Doug Adams to use his garage for a meeting where vote-buying was discussed and candidates pooled at least 150 thousand dollars.

The other eight pleaded not guilty, but all were convicted last month.
