Paintsville Woman Says She Was Wrongly Fired

A Paintsville employee off the job says she was wrongly fired and wants her job back.

Paintsville Tourism commissioners voted three to two to terminate General Manager Nancy Price. Board members voting against Price said they want to move in a different direction. Price feels the firing is unfair and believes it should be a city council decision, not the tourism board's.

"I feel that my dismissal was illegal and unethical. I feel I'm a victim of the good ole boy's politics. My goal is to set this wrong, right," Price said.

Price plans to take legal action. The tourism board had no comment. Mayor Bob Porter is out of town and unavailable for comment.
