Beshear Campaign To Begin Airing New Ad

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Democratic gubernatorial candidate Steve
Beshear talks about faith in his latest television ad, his second
of the general election campaign.
Beshear says in the ad that his faith teaches a responsibility
to God and family, and he sees Kentucky as one big family. In the
ad, he stands in front of the western Kentucky church he attended
in his youth.
The campaign message is scheduled to begin airing statewide
today.
In his first advertisement, Beshear talked about the need to
clean up state government. His words were reminiscent of those used
four years ago by Governor Fletcher.
The Fletcher campaign has aired two ads so far. In both,
Fletcher says he is opposed to opening casinos in Kentucky - a
proposal that Beshear raised in the primary election.
