World Equestrian Games could have impact in east KY

An Alltech Ambassador from the World Equestrian Games visited Hazard Tuesday to talk about the games impact on southeastern Kentucky.

The event is only a little more than 100 days away and communities all around the region are preparing for its economic impact.

“If we were to go somewhere over seas and visit Paris or Rome or whatever, we would stay there for a while then we would venture out into the hills to see the true landscape of the country. That's what we want them to do here, we want them to come to Hazard, we want them to come to Pikeville, we want them to come to Prestonsburg,” Phillip smith said.

Vendors from across the state will be setting up booths at the games displaying products from Kentucky.
