Veterans Remember Fallen Soldiers

This weekend, military veterans in eastern Kentucky are remembering their fellow veterans who have passed on.

Four members of the East Kentucky Marine Corps League placed flags on the graves of veterans in Staffordsville, Johnson County.

This is the second year the group has done this at Highland Memorial Park. Doug Lawson says he wants everyone to remember those men and women who have built America to what it is.

"By honoring them today we are stirring up the memory of them and not let their memory fade," Lawson said.

Lawson and the other marines brought 200 flags with them, and ran out before getting to every grave site.
