A Clay County bridge will soon be renamed in honor of a trooper killed in the line of duty 46 years ago.
Kentucky State Police will rename the Wild Cat Creek Bridge on Kentucky 11 the Trooper Elmer Mobley, Junior Memorial Bridge.
A ceremony will be held June 14th.
Mobley was killed in 1964 while responding to a call in Pike County.
He and another trooper died when their cruiser hit large rocks in the road.
