It was a close call at a city pool in Clay County.
A young boy went into diabetic shock on the side of the Manchester City Pool earlier Friday and quick response efforts saved his life.
The lifeguard went to check on the boy and found him unresponsive.
The pool manager who is also the chief of police performed CPR on the boy saving his life.
He was transferred to the Manchester Memorial Hospital where he is in stable condition.
The identity of the boy is not yet known.
