Dry Conditions Spark Another Water Shortage Advisory

Another eastern Kentucky town is now under a water shortage advisory.

This comes just two days after many areas saw a good soaking, but officials say it just isn't enough.

As drought conditions continue to force city and county officials to issue water shortage advisories.

People in Cumberland hope the drought in eastern Kentucky is coming to an end.

Cumberland is the latest city to issue a water shortage advisory.

Cumberland Mayor Loretta Cornett is asking people to conserve water when possible.

The water supply shortage in Cumberland has many concerned about the water supply there also concern about the quality of water especially when it comes to their kids.

Cumberland officials say the water is good to drink; the advisory is just for conservation.

But some in Cumberland are still concerned about the water.

Cumberland officials say the water shortage advisory is in effect until further notice.

Besides homes, Cumberland officials say major commercial and industrial water users are being asked individually to develop conservation plans.

Several other towns and counties have water shortage advisories in effect.
