Saturday is the annual Fish Fry in downtown Hazard.
For more than thirty years, people have gathered to celebrate Independence Day weekend with watermelon, drinks and of course, fried fish.
Hazard Mayor Bill Gorman says people from all over come to attend this family friendly event.
"It's a get place to be and a lot of people you get to see," Gorman said.
About 1,000 stopped by throughout the day. There will be fireworks on Saturday in Hazard starting at 10:00 p.m.
